Who can Home-Start Newark help?

Home-Start Newark can offer support to anybody who has at least one child aged 0-5 years or is expecting a baby, and who lives in our catchment area. Contact us below to check if you’re not sure. The regular support can be provided in the home with a volunteer, by attending our family group, or you can do both. You can also refer into our Step up for School service.

Who can make a request for support?

Anybody can make a request for support to us if the family being referred has agreed to the request being made. Families are also able to request support themselves by making a self-referral.

How do I ask for support?

To make a request for support, simply contact the our office or complete the short form on the contact us page, alternatively you can text ‘support’ to 07435939713 and one of our team will get back to you to help.

We will aim to contact all families within 1 week of receipt of the request to discuss the support they would like. If you have any questions please contact the office.

Are you a professional looking to make a referral?

If you are a health visitor, family support worker, Children’s Centre or any other professional working with families and you think someone would benefit from our service, you can make a request on their behalf, with their consent. Please contact us to discuss the family situation and if a referral is thought to be suitable, we will provide a referral form to complete via email.

We will always give you guidance as to the current situation regarding volunteer availability.
