We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the fundraising target of £1,000 for The Big Give Small Charity Week campaign has been successfully reached!

The campaign, which saw every donation matched pound-for-pound up to £500, officially hit its goal at 12 noon on the final day, despite the donation window being extended until 5:00 PM. This incredible achievement means Home-Start Newark has fully maximised the generous £500 of match funding provided by The Big Give.

We are utterly delighted and overwhelmed by the support we've received. Reaching our target at midday today is a testament to the incredible generosity of our community and the power of The Big Give's match funding. From our entire small but mighty team at Home-Start Newark, a heartfelt thank you to every single person who donated.

The funds raised will directly support Home-Start Newark's vital Family Group trips and events. These crucial outings provide social and developmental opportunities for under-5s and their families, helping to reduce isolation, build parental confidence, and foster child growth through sensory experiences and peer interaction. In the 2024/25 financial year alone, Home-Start Newark directly supported 80 families, encompassing 151 children, with 42 families regularly attending these invaluable group sessions.

This successful campaign not only secures funding for these essential services but also demonstrates the strong community spirit and commitment to supporting local families in Newark. Home-Start Newark extends its deepest appreciation to all donors and to The Big Give for providing such a powerful platform to amplify charitable giving.
