Before the school holidays drew to a close, local families and staff headed off on our annual summer day out, visiting Sundown Adventureland. Following weeks of dry weather, nature delivered the wettest day of the year right on cue - but a bit of rain certainly wasn't going to stop us from getting out and about to enjoy quality time together!

Two coaches set off from the YMCA and Castle House, picking up more families in Ollerton along the way, while others met us directly at the park.

Equipped with raincoats and enthusiastic spirits, everyone made the absolute most of the day. Our annual trips are designed to give families a much-needed opportunity to step away from daily routines, explore new places, and build special, lasting memories together.

Despite the downpours, the day was filled with smiles, play, and great feedback, with families sharing what a wonderful time they had. Creating these moments for parents and children to connect and share quality time is at the heart of our work, although these outings are only possible with the support of our funders; for this event, we say a huge thank you once again to the funding support provided by Children in Need.
